Yay!

THE U.S. AND JAPAN HAVE BOTH BEEN ELIMINATED FROM THE WORLD CUP COMPETITION! Although I love both countries, I was growing weary of following a sports event I have no real interest in just for the sake of conversation. Way to go Ghana & Brazil! (My apologies to all the soccer/football fans out there.)

WHAT!!! What do you mean stop following. This is the biggest actual world compition, other than the Olympics, how could you not watch. Although I never thought Japan had a chance agianst Brazil. However, I'm glad that you at least know the which teams have been eliminated. Love ya.

You know it's not my kind of sport. I don't follow American football, either. I only watch the Superbowl for the commercials and so I know who won (for the sake of not looking like an idiot). But the Superbowl's only one game, unlike the World Cup. Give me basketball any day. Wait--give me SUMO!

Hey I'm glad you supported Ghana, me too! But then the next up is Brazil, but I'm cheering for their nemesis Argentina! Ha! (Am not usually a football-maniac either but both of these teams played beeeauutifuly!!)

May the best team win! (And someone please inform me what team that turns out to be so I don't have to follow.)

Surely there is no need to follow a tournament that you have no interest in - irrespective of who plays in it.

In an ideal world, there would be no need. But when you team teach with a partner who spontaneously decides the World Cup is going to be the central discussion in your lesson, there is a need.
