USA or Bust
I finally purchased my return tickets to the States. No fancy vacations on the way back, as 17 hours of travel with 2 children will be adventuresome enough. Hubby is heading back on Wednesday (for sure this time). It's starting to really hit me that my time in Japan is ending, for better or for worse. The last time I was both this excited and scared, I was probably giving birth. And just like when I had my babies, the time will come, whether I'm ready or not!

Um, why did you buy them? Isn't the school supposed to do that?
In Yamaguchi, the prefectural JETs buy their own tickets and then are reimbursed. I suppose I could've waited for the money, but then I couldn't buy my tickets until the 14th of July.
we will miss you... you are part of japan`s furniture now, part of the japan i know!!! maybe you should stay too!!!
Furniture? Um thanks. I was more hoping to be called a glittery thingy or something, but furniture is okay, I suppose.
As for staying, my children are turning Japanese and must go home. (Not that being Japanese is a bad thing, but they need to go home if they're going to learn proper English and American culture.)
A dazzling sparkly piece of furniture OF COURSE! A glittering lamp shining out through the rain..... :) (better??)
But why would they want to know American culture anyway...??!! (just kidding...)
Much better (the glittery lamp comment, that is).
Believe it or not, there's more to American culture than hamburgers and guns, Beck. Maybe I should have my kids learn about British culture. You know--tea and crumpets. ^_~
yes, you learn a lot from tea and crumpets!!!!
