WELCOME! The Beyond J-Land blog is a smorgasbord of mostly lighthearted excerpts from my life. Excluding chronological, there is little organization or method to the tidbits I author. However, fashion tragedies, questionable sanity, bugs, nostalgia, friends, family, Japan, the States, culture shock and reverse culture shock have been recurring topics thus far. Feel free to take a peek at what life looks like through this girl's eyes.

Well, you've got it all planned out. I actually found some (or most) of those foods difficult to take when I got back, and consequently lost more weight. But hopefully that doesn't happen to you. It'd be a shame for that lovely pie chart you made go to waste :)
HEAR HEAR CINDI - Bring on the Mexican and pizza. I got a taste of home when I was in the Phillippines. I gained 3kg (7 pounds)kg in 7 days. HEHEHE - such a fatty.

glad to have you back blogging! thats a fancy pie chart if i ever saw one! I'll have to steal the idea in some shape or form ^_~
Killdeer: I doubt that's going to happen to me. I've gone 3 years without these things. I'm definitely going to pig out.
Alex: You will lose weight at home? You'd better put A LOT of weight on in China so you have something to lose!
Stubby: Haha--You a fatty. Very funny.
Kat: Be my guest and chart away!
In some ways it doesn't sound quite so bad if you say it in kg... 10 pounds must be just under 5kg. 5 sounds better than 10 ne?
However, I know what 5kg can do to your body. Good luck.
Weight is hard on the body, yes. But I am going to enjoy the consumption process.
Oh, I wanted the food, but my stomach couldn't handle it. It was so used to mild Japanese food.
