Daikon Legs

For those of you deprived few who still haven't been converted into sumo fans, I thought I'd post this footage of the up-and-coming Estonian, Baruto (or "Daikon Legs" as I like to call him). It's his first tournament in the upper ranks, but he isn't having any problem holding his own (he's currently in 3rd place). In fact, his biggest problem seems to be not smiling when he wins. The technique he uses during the match below looks kind of like he's reverse bowling. I've never seen anything like it. He could very well go on to become the greatest sumo wrestler ever (except for my Takami, of course).

Cool move...also used in football to 'swim" past the linemen to sack the quarterback

Really? I had no idea. Even when in the Western world, the only football game I watch is the Superbowl. I guess sumo's short enough to keep my attention and you can get a feel for the players' personalities (as they have very little to hide behind, quite literally). In football, the players all look so similar.

You should try to use your nenkyuu to leave work early. It's worth it.
